Im headed to Toronto tomorrow morning to rehearse for the show on Aug 2nd. The first 3 hours is just Jon, Kevin and myself and we will start running some acoustic songs. I asked the guys to learn Only You, so we’ll see how that sounds. Let the games begin. It usually take awhile for a song to settle, ill have to be patient.
Ive got this little video camera that im going to bring in so ill upload something for you guys to see in the next few days. Also, because im really enjoying blogging about all this, ive centralized the blog at davidusher.com/blog. ill still post it on myspace etc. but at davidusher.com/blog is a place where i can easily drop in video and audio clips of the process for you to see in one centralized place. Anyways, check it out, log in, and tell me how its working for you. We are going to customize it as we go but i really like writing there (here) so far.

Hi.
“Only You” is a song with an interesting history. I wasn’t keen on the Flying Pickets version as I loved the original so much, but if anybody can put a new acoustic spin on this classic, it’s you. Lyrically, it’s beautiful. Can’t wait to hear the arrangement and hope to see/hear a performance of the song in October.
Thanks for blogging and keeping us all so informed of the progress of the acoustic sessions.
Graeme
Hi David! xxx
Wow this blog is very exciting. Thanks so much for letting us in on the process. I am also excited to see you in New Glasgow Thursday.
Could we Nova Scotia fans be lucky enough that we would get a preview of your new materials, the way we did last year at the Casino NS shows? *fingers crossed* now that would just be the icing on the cake!
Hope the move is going well -again, welcome home, great to have you back (yeah yeah, I’m selfish, haha).
You’re the best, love ya
Lise
I think that the shows (maybe the second encore) would be an ideal place to test out some of this acoustic material!
nice site, david…and thanks for keeping us updated…
I think ‘blogging’ about your new album process is an awesome idea. It such a great way to connect with your fans and let them in on the process. Love the layout too… it’s clean and easy to navigate! Have a great time in Toronto tomorrow!! I can’t waiiiitttttttt to hear Only You, even in the rough stages!! It’s one of my faves!!
Hi David!

Hi David. This blog site looks great…easy to read both your posts & other people’s responses.
Am very much looking forward to seeing/hearing the new stuff. Thanks for sharing so much with us - - it’s fun! :o)
Hi David,
Hope all goes well with your show in NS. someone mentioned in another site that it would be great (for us, obviously) to be invited to watch your rehearsals…..that would be great, see what is really behind the scenes and get a glimpse of what goes into a show.
Good luck!!
(How do I get into your top friends lists??????)
Take care
i give you my 2 thumbs up for making a centralized blog here. coz its more easier for us fans to follow up the process. and we can have the round opinion gather up in one place, not a bit here and a bit there.
and the greatest news is that you are enjoying blogging here! i feel that i can get close to you and the process more and more, which is really awesome.
the only tiny prob i found using the service here is that after i signed up, i hadnt got any password through my email (i had been waited for an hour). so i checked if the info had been sent to the site by re-sign up again but the site couldnt let me signed up with the same email already registered to the database. then i had to request for a new password and it had successfully sent this time. so that i can logged in here.
i am waiting to hear more from you.
bui xo
