Well, being the eternal romantic that I am, this will come as no surprise: it’s gorgeous. Please incorporate this into your set. It’s haunting, and I don’t usually appreciate cover songs, but this…David, it’s beyond beautiful.

Your voice is so beautiful. I’m sure you can probably make any song sound good but this really is a great choice. I love it.

From tye — August 1, 2007 @ 7:18 pm

It sounds great, i’m excited to hear more.

From Cheryl — August 1, 2007 @ 7:58 pm

Hauntingly beautiful. Looking forward to hearing the “bit of this a bit of that” :)

Perfect. I love the feel that it has … turn up the sound, close my eyes and imagine I’m lying on the floor in the next room listening.

After a long day at work and overtime as well it was great to come home to my daughter and your song. It was beautiful! I always love the song during my teen year. I loved Alison Moyet’s voice but having the male perspective and sound makes it even more romantic and dare I say sexy! Thanks for keeping us up to date!

From julien — August 1, 2007 @ 10:08 pm

hey david, julien here… just wanted to say, it’s super exciting to see you post stuff like this. give some thought to showing people how to subscribe to the blog (in case they don’t know how) so they’ll be updated on when you’ve got new stuff out.

later! :)

From Franceline — August 1, 2007 @ 10:14 pm

Oh wow!!! It’s beautiful David!! It almost brought me to tears… it’s such an awesome song to begin with, but even better hearing your sing it. Just be forewarned if you play this at concerts, i’ll be the one in the front balling my eyes out! :)

From shannon — August 2, 2007 @ 1:00 am

There is a subscribe option?!? I was looking for it and couldnt find it! Some directions would be great for people like me! LOL!

Hi. Here’s just my opinion — how about adding a cello or violin?

From Cheryl — August 2, 2007 @ 8:24 am

Shan, click the little symbol on the right hand side of the url address bar in your browser.

From robyn — August 2, 2007 @ 11:10 am

Beautiful, stunning, etc. There are a million and one ways to describe how great I think it is, but I’m too blissful to use most of them right now.

From Venera — August 2, 2007 @ 6:34 pm

What little symbol? I don’t see anything! How do you subscribe?

From carrie — August 10, 2007 @ 2:21 am

I like it.Sounds pretty good.

From Beq — August 10, 2007 @ 2:58 am

Yesss!! I’ve been waiting so patiently for you to produce a mushy love song to play at my wedding. We are in no rush to be married but when I think about planning our reception, I wouldn’t want a song from any other artist for my first dance. And somehow, I don’t think any your other songs would seem appropriate. So this song makes me so hopeful. Yay! You rock my socks!

From Graeme — August 10, 2007 @ 7:45 pm

As far as wedding songs go, I’m pretty sure I would go with “Sparkle & Shine.” Seems most appropriate.

From Bronwen — August 28, 2007 @ 9:36 pm

i love the original of this song… and when that’s the case it can be hard to hear another artist perform it … but you add something so etherial to this … it’s even more beautiful as adapted by you…. i hope to hear it at your edmonton show :)
