you guys definitely sounded tight at Beachfest! the set was so short, but the energy level was fantastic! just makes the upcoming tour that much more exciting, and the wait that much more unbearable… oh. do you think you might keep the same setlist for the entire tour? or have you thought at all about switching things up on a show by show basis? it’d be great and unpredictable!

anyways, i’m really impressed that you care so much about what we want to hear at your shows, and that you value our opinions, and seem to like corresponding with us so much. its pretty fucking cool if you ask me.

And I cant wait to hear the new set list! The idea of songs never played live before is so exciting *coughsciencecough* I agree with Laura that it would be great to have a couple of songs that cycle on the setlist so that it changes up a bit.

i’m really hoping you still do the sound check contest for the tour, especially vancouver.
me and my boy are REALLY hoping to win..because well..last time we had to use fake id’s to get into the richards on richards show 2x (bought them soley for that reason)…and we’re scared the commodore will be a little harder to get in to. We figure if we’re at the sound check we have to get into the show..right.

If it’s a mathematical skill-testing question one has to answer to get into the Commodore soundcheck on Oct 5th (assuming this becomes an option), then I’m dead in the water. I will have to rely on the eloquence of my desperate prose, or wearing a t-shirt that cannot fail to be noticed.

But, to be fair, I hope that viciouswithoutlove wins, because then she and her boy will definitely be able to see the concert itself. Sadly, there’s no chance of me being carded.

It’s just a(NOTHER) online community. Really simple, everyone is just answering the question “what are you doing?”…actually, now that I think about it…it’s kind of like reading your friend’s facebook status’. Anyway, you can sign up to receive other people’s updates so that you know exactly “what they are doing”. You can view their updates by logging into the website, or have them sent to your phone as a text message.

Easy peasy.

The thing I’ve noticed about the band, and we’ve seen them now 3 times this year, is that each time, they seem to be having more fun together and with David’s on stage very neat and unique antics, the whole presentation just adds to the feeling and atmosphere of the music and everything. Very special indeed.

Have you considered “Bird of Paradise” by Snowy White? Was a big hit in the UK when I lived there. It’s a beautiful song, and I can see Kev & Jon and you doing it.

What the hell is a twitter? It’s all too much for me…curse this technology stuff! I need to sit down with one of my students and get caught up. Every time I think I’m there, someone goes and brings in a twitter or a flicker or some such thing.

maybe flickr was derived from flick (film, click; cause to move a snapping sound)
flickr is somewhat like a photographer’s blog…they store digital images (in high or low res)
so that others may see it, appreciate and be noticed….everyone can use it…it’s not that complicated, it’s just like a photo album but it’s in the world wide web…

Looking forward to the concert at the Phoenix, I’ve been a fan for a few years now and it’ll be great to finally see a live performance.
