change is always the way in the fall. im not sure if its because we are programmed that way from years of school or its just in our dna. but fall always brings that excited feeling that life is changing. maybe its just being back in the season in canada for the first time in 3 years. there is something about it here. it feels like home. ive got most of the ideas ready for the acoustic record, all thats left is to find time to record it. that is going to have to wait till after the tour i think. middle of nov. just like everything, i want to start now. i havent forgotten about getting some of you into the show tomorrow. what ill do is announce the contest on twitter and the first 15 people that email (ill have an contest email address) will get to come and bring a friend. i know thats not really a contest. but im not really into getting people to answer some opaque question about whatever. so really its a contest to see who can get to their typewriter the fastest. in the end i just want to be able to have some of you come out and see the beginning of the acoustic record live.

Well the ‘contest’ is a good idea. It’s simple, and it reminds me of how you can get into a meet in greet with some group (an icon would pop up on the main page, and the first 100 to answer would be allowed into the meet and greet).

I’m not used to be on the computer this early, and my eyes still hurt…

Drew!!! Wouldn’t “the Drugs Dont Work” be just perfect!?!?!? As you know, I am obsessed with that song!! :) This acoustic album is going to be such a treat! I am really looking forward to hearing it. Any chance that some acoustic songs might get previewed on tour? Or maybe even in the soundchecks that fans may have access to?? *patience is not MY virtue* :)

I can’t wait for the acoustic album bro! Have a great tour and than put those acoustic tracks down in the studio :) Being able to travel the world playing music is a joy I hope to experience one day too. Take care,
Dustin.

I have become enthralled with the song “SRXT” by Bloc Party and thought that it might make a good acoustic song. It’s really melancholy, but hauntingly beautiful. Just a suggestion.
