finally after a long period of settling in, ive got a new song im working on.

its a strange thing how it happens, ill ignore the guitar, almost purposely, watch it on the couch, but just let it sit there.

and then the next thing i know its 4 in the morning and ive found the chords and progression. and then the first few words. ill post what ive got in the next day or so, no name yet (that im going to talk about yet anyways).

OOO this is exciting, I can’t wait to hear it! (I think this is my favorite part… listening to newly conceived songs grow and evolve!) … now, I will have to admit… with a young child in the house…. :) I am wondering (or rather amazed) at how this lonely guitar sitting on the couch manages to survive. :D But that is another story I am sure.

It’s good that the inspiration comes, even if it’s 4 o’clock in the morning…

I just tagged a photo with your guitar on facebook… The name of the photo, “Loneliness in the light” :)

I agree with whoever said that this is, by far, the most exciting part of the blog for me! Hearing new song in their infancy then seeing how they progress is really amazing to me… a bit of a voyeuristic but i like it! LOL! :)

i’m really intrigued by the process. i’m so excited to see (and hear) the next steps…
and i also agree with the people above… it’s actually quite exhillarating to see this sort of thing!

sweet! Anymore audio clips coming up by any chance? The acoustic version of Brilliant (that you had up so far)has a different feel to it compared to the album version. I hope you play it in TO! :)

From me_as_im — September 16, 2007 @ 6:23 pm

That’s how it usually happens ))

From sweetrhapsody — September 17, 2007 @ 12:56 am

I’ve also found my most creative thoughts come late at night, when its quiet and free of distraction and often unexpectedly the ideas will start to flow.

Look forward to hearing the new song.
