hmmmm “massive song list” could mean the songs will constantly be changing show-to-show.
as far as suggestions for the tour, I have very few. Because everytime I’ve seen you, you have rocked!!! (without my suggestions ;)

have you ever played “mood song” live? that could be interesting. with clearer vocals and instrumentation.

I’m sure whatever you and the band come up with will be awesome. but make it exeptionally awesome for Oct 18th ;)

From Kristine — September 23, 2007 @ 10:23 am

Yeah, that’s what I was thinking (about the massive song list). Was just kidding/dreaming.
That’s still great though, for those that will be seeing David & the band several times over the course of this tour (and I know there are several people from here who will be doing that!).

From DiamondWillow — September 23, 2007 @ 11:06 am

OOO I am looking forward to Friday!! Interesting… I got to see the first show at Brock then this one being the first show for this tour …. Hmmm, I think I would LOVE to be able to see a first show and then a later one in the same tour to see how it has evolved! Love that you are now the ‘headliner’ in Waterloo!! Hehehe See ya there!~

From Claudia — September 23, 2007 @ 11:13 am

Science & how are you!!!

;0)

From LadyMisty — September 23, 2007 @ 11:51 am

Hi David! My last chance? OK. In case you didn’t get this first few times around:

SILVER ! SILVER SILVER SILVER SILVER ! SILVER !

*a-hem* but just in case for some reason that one isn’t in the cards, I do have my heart set on a couple others that would absolutely be tremendous:

- White Flag (become one of my faves on your new CD)
- THE SCIENCE !!!! (seriously, this would be freaking amazing done Live, it would make me cry but it would blow my mind, please play it)

In honour of it being Leonard Cohen’s what, 73rd (?) birthday on Sept. 21st which I’m sure you knew hehe - and I know this cuz a few of my friends are diehard LC fans - it occurs to me that you would do a fantastic version of his “Hallelujah”, which is one of my favourite songs of all time actually. One of the prettiest most beautiful, awe-inspiring songs ever. It would be fitting for you to play it dontcha think? ;-) I don’t think Leonard Cohen would mind. So that’s my other request:

- Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah”

PS: For 80s stuff, Tainted Love by Soft Cell !
And please don’t, just don’t take St. Lawrence River out of your set. xoxo Love ya and will be going to Montreal for sure & probably Ottawa show too.

C’est cool que tu apprends le francais, wow. Show us your newly-learned French in Montreal if you can! Je t’aime xoxo

From Lillian Joyce — September 23, 2007 @ 11:22 pm

I’ve been listening to Moist’s material lately, and I really don’t know why I didn’t bother doing so any sooner. I guess I was a little immature & ignorant when Moist was big… 10 yrs old, hah! I must say I’m really feeling it! I’d REALLY love to hear….

From Moist:
- **Resurrection**, Leave it Alone, or Push

Cover song:
- Yellow by ColdPlay - I agree with Catch22 on this (this song has the same mellow mood as your acoustics)

Past albums:
- Trickster
- Unholy, Dirty, and Beautiful
- Babyskin Tattoo
- !!Souring!!
- Hallucinations
- Faithless
- !!Science!!
- White Flag
- Brilliant (the acoustic! sounds so calming =) )
- and of course… Ugly is Beautiful

Would you let a few lucky fans sing along to a song with you on stage? I’m curious to see how that would turn out… if anyone would freeze on the spot or let the adrenaline take over! :D

I’m REALLY looking forward to October 18th in T.O.!

From kanji — September 24, 2007 @ 5:01 am

Cant wait for the show, gonna be killer!

From Michael — September 24, 2007 @ 7:40 am

My wife and myself can’t wait for this Thursday in St. Kitt’s when you guys perform there at the Grape & Wine Festival. We saw Stabilo and Serena Ryder this weekend there and it’s a great atmosphere. Having seen you play at Brock Univ. with great fans in the area, I know this will be another super show, rain, shine, snow whatever.
David, you rock and so do the rest of the band, awesome. I know the songs are more mellow from the If God Had Curves but I absolutely love that album to be quite honest.

Cheers and have a safe trip!

From Michael — September 24, 2007 @ 8:03 am

Should have mentioned that I don’t mean that the Grape and Wine Festival should be a more mellow concert, not at all. Even though Serena Ryder was awesome (as was Stabilo), some people were saying they wish Serena was a bit more “heavy”. So do whatever for sure in St. Kitt’s. Also didn’t mean to imply I don’t like the heavier songs, I do, just that I think the album If God Had Curves gets a bit shortchanged because it is more mellow I think.

From Nour — September 24, 2007 @ 8:21 am

Def. play Science!!!

but you alreayd put it on the list…just thought I’d let you how much we want to hear it live! haha

;o)

From livingproof — September 24, 2007 @ 4:20 pm

Would love to see the rehersals live.

I’m taking several friends to the Phoenix show. Would love another Toronto date towards the end of the tour.

‘Science’ needs to be on the setlist.

A DVD of all your videos would be hot!

From eurogal_yvr — September 24, 2007 @ 8:44 pm

Can’t wait till Friday’s show in Van!

My input, at least a few:

Some people say
See you fall

Time of our lives
Love will Save the Day
Brilliant
The music
St. Lawrence River
Alone in the Universe
So far down

Sooo… is it next Friday yet? :)

From Kiera — September 25, 2007 @ 11:24 am

From Nathalie — September 25, 2007 @ 12:35 pm

Nathalie x & Jessie x

P.S. Sorry, my english writing is not perfect.

From DiamondWillow — September 25, 2007 @ 6:12 pm

Nathalie - I LOVE the french song idea!! :) (even if you were just kidding!) I have no idea if David likes it or not but I think it would be awesome for him to sing something in french one day!
So- I wonder what the new tour dates are?

From Nath. — September 26, 2007 @ 7:40 am

Diamondwillow - Of course that would be nice to here a french song but, David just start to learned Moliere language (but we could put a little pressure on him) :-)

I had a question that not fit here but maybe someone could help me? Does anybody know if they sales any merchandises (like t-shirt…) on concert?

Thank you

From Nath. — September 26, 2007 @ 11:48 am

diamondwillow - The only new tour dates were post by David on ”More tour date” September 13th. I don’t know about more dates.

From DiamondWillow — September 26, 2007 @ 2:24 pm

Hi nath. the last line in David’s post us there indicates that there are more shows to be added… and they would be added Monday or tuesday… so I am just wondering where the NEW shows will be! :)
Oh yes, and I do realise David is just learning french now - but when he does learn it, a french song would go over soo well I think! :D

From Nath. — September 26, 2007 @ 4:08 pm

I guess i’m adic to the blog

Diamondwillow - Are you in Montreal or in Ontario?

How was the show that you saw?

I’m repeat myself again.

Do you know if they sales any merchandises (like t-shirt…) on concert?

Thank you

From DiamondWillow — September 26, 2007 @ 4:24 pm

HAHA nath I think we are all addicted to some degree! :) I am in Ontario but I am somewhat bilingual (enough to work in both languages). The last show of David’s I made it to was at Brock University in March (was it really March?) In all honestly Nath, I have never noticed merchanise at the shows. But I could be completely wrong!! Shannon or others would be FAR better able to advise you of that. You could post your question in a new thread in the forum and more people might answer you.

From Miwa — September 27, 2007 @ 12:03 am

Hi Nath!!
I went to the show last April at Vancouver, there were selling some T-shirts and CDs.
Some reason, I couldn’t buy, but next time I see, I’ll buy some.

From Nath. — September 27, 2007 @ 7:46 am

Hi Diamondwillow, so you can work in french, well i’ll ask my question in french, you can answer in english. Tu me parlais de poser une nouvelle question in the new thread in the forum mais, je ne sais pas comme faire cela, pourrais-tu m’expliquer. (Who ouh no mistake in that sentense)Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the info Miwa.

From DiamondWillow — September 27, 2007 @ 8:24 am

Allo nath,
First off, you need to register so you can post- are you registered on the forum yet? Then go into the general discussions area or concert experiences and scroll to the bottom of the page. On the left hand side you will see a button called ‘new topic’ - click it and you will need to put a subject and type in your question :) that is about all there is to it. When you are done your post, you click ’submit’ at the bottom of the page… clear as mud? :)

From Claudia — September 28, 2007 @ 9:47 am

“also there are lots of new shows that im going to post on monday or tuesday:)”

we are friday David!!!

From DiamondWillow — September 28, 2007 @ 10:59 am

From Nath. — September 28, 2007 @ 2:18 pm

Keep you fingers cross diamondwilow, i’m sure another show will come near you soon.

I was asking to my self, does David sleep sometimes? He’s got a show at almost each night on octobre.

From Nath. — September 28, 2007 @ 2:52 pm

I need HELP. I’m trying to write in the forum, i register but i cant’.. Bou hou. I had questions to ask. I ask them to post me my password again. Is it the same password as the blog?

Bye the way who’s gonna be there for the concert in Montreal (put your hands up in the here). I just hope i’m not going to be the oldest person over there (with a 12 years old teenager girl, my average of age could maybe fall).

From shannon — September 28, 2007 @ 2:58 pm

Hi Nath,

The password and login information is not necessarily the same for the blog and forum. You need to register separately for both.

From Nath. — October 4, 2007 @ 1:53 pm

You made a little mistake for the show on november 9.
