I’m sure Jonathan can help you out with that! Anyway, I thought rehearsing for the tour WAS your main focus right now, no?
(As you can see from my quick response, I don’t have enough to focus on here at work). Good luck focusing…you know you always have our support! :)

hi,
I’d love to hear I’m coming down.
Looking forward to it!

It amazes me that you can ever focus with all the different fires you have burning! Maybe you just need a day to vedge!! :)

I think you should listen to some good old Iron Maiden or Metallica to let it all out!! Or newer (Canadian) bands like Billy Talent or Three Days Grace!haha

The irony.
When I need to focus, to put myself in balance, I listen to your music. I listen to you.

And I am sure I’m not the only one who does!

Can’t imagine what it must be like to ‘be’ you and not have the same effect from the music, from your music - because obviously it’s just that, your music.

Recently my boyfriend copied me a bunch of Rammstein music for when I’m in the mood for heavier fare (heavier than Moist or The Tea Party which is what I often listen to when I want something heavier). So now between the NIN and Rammstein stuff he burned for me, I have a really good assortment of loud music. That’s my suggestion - I find not speaking German actually helps with the latter cuz you can let yourself really get lost in the music that way! You aren’t trying to analyse every metaphor - songs like Linx and Reise Reise and Du Hast are excellent for that!

Just my 2 cents (worth more now that the loony is soaring LOL)
PS: I just tried adding Twitter on my cell phone but I don’t have a rocket science genius like Jon to help so uhm, haha, we’ll see if it worked. I want to make sure I get those contest updates to try and get to see a soundcheck! love ya xoxox

ahh now my advice to you would be - put the headphones on, plug in, sit back, and tune out for about 6-8 hours…. does ME a world of good when I have 101 things on the go and I just need a time out ….
For me though, the loud guitars are coming on FRIDAY!! :) VIP all the way baby! YEAH! ;)

From aspen00 — September 25, 2007 @ 10:42 am

well you’re not alone. I am a wreck right now. I am very nervous of a competition I have joined. well if it would help you could do some physical activities such as running or briskwalking, that helps me concentrate. or maybe you could just write it down…. :D

Focusing is over-rated anyway… “ooo… something shiney”

Maybe a bit of anxiety about the tour is creeping in, which is a good thing as they say some stress is needed to keep ‘er going with energy as they say. As long as it isn’t too much stress which can interfere with things. But even if some things don’t work out as planned with all the performances, you are someone who can wing it live I’m sure with the best of them! Some yoga is great, just emptying all thoughts in the brain can do wonders so the mystics say. I do have a difficult time doing this, takes practice they say.

From SHYlove — September 25, 2007 @ 1:38 pm

will you ever play in London?

my tip for losing focus, close your eyes, and just breathe in ( and then out of course), i think it’s all about taking in the positive things around us to help us focus more… smile, it’s easier to focus, if you’re happy

From SHYlove — September 25, 2007 @ 1:38 pm

sorry to find lost focus, not in losing focus..

From Alice — September 25, 2007 @ 3:57 pm

I haven’t had focus in such a very long time.
p.s. I adore you because you’re extremely brilliant.
