that is so disappointing
But at least there is the St. Catharine’s show the day before.
definitely a huge disappointment. but it is ultimately not the artists’ faults…these things happen i guess! not sure how i go about getting refunded…
I completely agree with you guys!!
And worse still is the reason why it was cancelled!!!! Its not fair to all those who were going. And to find out only now, so close to the date!!!!
Thankfully there is a big tour fast approaching!!!
Yowza!!
xoxo courtney
DAMN… and again I say… DAMN!!! That is such a disappointment. Well, I hope the new tour dates go up again soon. I really, really REALLY hope there is a stop somewhere in this southernmost part of Ontario now… on a Friday or Saturday!! Now… to figure out about refunds… SPIT!
Unfortunate without a doubt for everyone. Maybe a silver lining here is that on Thursday night in St. Catharine’s, you and the guys could make the set a tad bit longer, that would be great if it’s possible.
According to the festival they’ll “be making refunds in the next few days”. If you ordered online they have all of your information, so you don’t have to do anything (but check your credit card statements! :))
I am secretly booing Waterloo. LOL
This is disappointing. I had everything planned out and now someone (appears to be the promoter according to the press release) throw a wrench into the plans. Somehow I’m not all that shocked…Ovation doesn’t have the best reputation and I guess this doesn’t help them one bit.
Btw, as some others have already suggested. A date in London, please????
ah man! That’s awful!
DiamondWillow, did you make your hubby drive two hours to pick up those tickets like you were going to? If so, I think you might want to cook up something special before you tell him about the return trip…
I think you should do one of your twitter “happenings” events on the corner right outside the venue anyway! Who needs an organized event?! LOL!
LOL!!!
well andylou - I managed to purchase the tix over the phone (interestingly they were never debited off the card… things that make you say … hmmmm) … now hubby - (he is so sweet).,, was gonna get us a hotel room so we could spend the night on the town and not have to take the 2 hour drive home after the show….
Unfortunately THAT date went down the drain with this cancellation, so we considered checking out Mohawk racetrack (my old and beloved haunt) but my buddies aren’t racing friday night…
(When you have the mind set you are heading out to party it is sure hard to think you are going have to stay home!! LOL!!) Anyone have any suggestions?????
ACK! With a happening in Waterloo I would need a 2 hour lead time Shannon!!!
But- if given that time - we WOULD be there for sure!!
although it’s bad news for most, this might be good news in disguise for me. My work schedule is posted up to a month in a half in advance, and giving the short notice for the concert i had no way of making it. I have no car, so I’m rarely able to make shows outside of Waterloo region (with the exception of arena shows, concerts don’t typically end before the last greyhound run - unfortunate to say I don’t have many friends who are D.U. fans, so no chance of a ride). So hopefully this means a new show in the near future in the K-W area.
yeah, definitely a bummer, to say the least. Defiinitely should try to make it to London..
