its great to be home and have a few days to clear my head. my acoustic broke at the last show so its in the shop getting fixed and i started needing it around 9 this morning, so i went out and rented one. i just need something to play, even if im just messing around. funny how attached i am to playing. as the season switches over its always a good time to write, i think we are conditioned by years of septembers and the start of school. school is long gone for me, but the feeling when the cold air hits still remains

so ive been having a really good time playing, we still have a lot of shows left, but ive started to think about what im going to do after the last show on nov 17th
i was planning to go straight into recording the acoustic record, but with the way the band is playing together and the way im feeling about “everyday things” now im starting to think about going into process on a full blown record right away. i have so many songs already and it would be great to get them all up and running and be able to put them into the set through random shows in the winter.
another thought is to just work on both and while working on the full record also start playing unannounced acoustic show here and there, that sound fun as well. all just ideas for now
it is so amazing to be home!
the show was a perfect way to end this leg of the tour, theres something about playing st lawrence river in the city it was written…
ill upload some video of the show soon as i can
thanks for making it such a great night for myself and the guys
feels good to be home

the show was hot and sweaty last night, i thought i was going to pass out
almost broke my leg jumping off that rail
montreal is tonight, hometown crowd!
timmins was great last night, a really small club, totally packed
reminded me of shows in england back in the day
we got into toronto this morning and its great to have a day to sit, get off the bus and just do nothing. tomorrow we are off again to kingston, then toronto, ottawa and home to montreal!

pretty crazy show
the crowd was great, for the encore someone yelled fast car which we went over once in practice but never really worked on, there are just too many words
so of course we tried it, most of the verses were made up with the crowd trying to scream out lyrics, all they could come up with was “leave tonight or live and die this way”, yes i know those ones:)
im going to upload some of the footage later but my video sound was so distorted it sounds like this &^%%#%$#@#^^(*&
if you have any video footage of the night just upload it to facebook, you can link through www.davidusher.com, and ill add it to my share
anyways fun night…
