I’m amazed you guys have been able to keep up such a crazy tour schedule!!!
And I’m (very selfishly) glad the break comes just before all the Ontario dates! Looking forward to being part of the enthusiastic crowd shots! :)

From Kristine — October 16, 2007 @ 2:22 pm

Haha, I’m thinking the same way (selfishly). Sounds like you’ve really been giving your all during performances…I was worried you might be worn out by the time you got here!
Enjoy your day off…you guys deserve it. :)

From shannon — October 16, 2007 @ 3:15 pm

Hope you guys get some rest because I have a feeling that these next 4 shows are going to be crazy! :)

From telo santos — October 16, 2007 @ 3:22 pm

don’t forget to eat regularly and take some vitamins….
glad you guys have a day to rest…

From liberated — October 16, 2007 @ 3:40 pm

Since you mentioned it, you should totally head back to England to play some more really small clubs, Leeds in particular ;)

I’m gutted to be missing this tour. The shows sound like they’ve been amazing so far.

Have a nice and restful day off in Toronto! :)

Welcome back to T.O. - even if it’s just for a short stay! The weather’s been pretty depressing here for the last week, but thinking about Thursday’s show has kept me going. Woohoo! I can’t wait to let out all this pent up energy and to run into some familiar faces!

From Stefa — October 16, 2007 @ 10:48 pm

how did you spend your day off in Toronto?
I attend the University of Toronto..

see you @ the Phoenix

From LadyMisty — October 17, 2007 @ 12:53 am

Wow, I would love to have been there “back in the day”. England… what! you played clubs in England?! Oh man what I’d give to have seen that. I wonder when was that? Moist days, early Moist days? I can’t imagine.
See this is just the kind of thing I’d like to ask you in person but haha, that’s not likely. I freeze up everytime I see you face to face and forget everything I wanted to say. At least you seem to understand, you know how nervous and all fangirl-ish we can get around you!

Can’t wait for Firday in Ottawa and then Montreal! I need to make sure I get plenty of rest too. It’s going to be wicked!! xxx

This is great when you can travel and relax in the same time. But i dont think its selfishly : you deserve some day off !

From linac — October 17, 2007 @ 1:28 pm

Timmins was great..loved the way you interacted with the crowd

From CV — October 17, 2007 @ 1:35 pm

The Ontario masses have spoken! David deserves time to rebuild his strength for our shows!! I will be attending your North Bay jig @ Cecil’s with a friend who recently moved here from Hong Kong. She is a BIG Canadian music fan, but YOU are her favorite. Her comment “Too bad he’s already married”.
Look for us…we’ll be in the front row!
Wishing you health & harmony!

From brebichex — October 18, 2007 @ 5:53 pm

OMG I DONT BELIEVE THIS BUT… only 2 days !!! I am so excited !!
Im sure than we will rock the place! i guess than everybody just wanna have fun ;)

I myself am too young to get into the clubs, but it doesn’t change the fact that I love the music.
When David was in Thunder Bay, I was so happy cause my mom went to get me an autographed CD for my birthday. Awesome…
Apparently, David wasn’t feeling well, and couldn’t autograph them, but I still got a new CD. At least it’s something, and I can understand not feeling that great…
Now, my dad lives in Timmins, and he sent a friend to get me a signed poster for my birthday, an awesome birthday surprise…
But when my dads friend asked the band members,” Can you get David to sign this poster? It’s for a kid for his birthday,” all she got was a,” Ya know what? Leave me alone.”
Seriously, a,” From David, to David,” doesn’t seem like it’d be that hard.
Thanks a lot, from David.

From Dark_Angel — October 18, 2007 @ 7:36 pm

I don’t really understand what went on and it’s none of my business… but I can assure you David is more than happy to sign things for fans. He’s very gracious like that. Now, you’ve also got to take into consideration how long they’ve been on the road. Wouldn’t it make you tired to be travelling from city to city.. having to perform and put all that energy out night after night…. and then have so many fans with expectations? It’s normal that people will be let down. As much as we love him, we’ve got to remember that he’s human too and tries his best but sometimes people need to have a rest. Maybe the past two times weren’t lucky… but third time is usually always the charm. There will be other times to get something autographed. Hopefully that gave you some positive thoughts towards this.

From David Hamilton — October 18, 2007 @ 8:43 pm

Ya, but it’s that for the past two years, the two people I love most, my parents, went to such lengths to get me what I wanted in two different cities.
I guess I’m just disappointed.

From Alice — October 21, 2007 @ 6:19 pm

If you can, try Montreal. I’m not exactly 18 and I’ve seen tons of age-restricted shows in Montreal.
