its great to be home and have a few days to clear my head. my acoustic broke at the last show so its in the shop getting fixed and i started needing it around 9 this morning, so i went out and rented one. i just need something to play, even if im just messing around. funny how attached i am to playing. as the season switches over its always a good time to write, i think we are conditioned by years of septembers and the start of school. school is long gone for me, but the feeling when the cold air hits still remains

september definitely marks a new beginning for most people.
glad to hear the guitar is in the shop, we can’t have you playing “jazz” styles at the next shows
looking forward to november!
I find myself inspired as well. Words just come out easier.

change of season is always inspiring,
the colours and the wind, stay inside warm and watch the rain
This is definately a time for renewal! Maybe a new guitar will have something fresh and new to bring to the table!
“we have been conditioned by years of Septembers”
that should be part of a song.
its very poetic.
p.s. Fall reminds me so much of New York. Do you miss it there?
Take time for yourself and your family David, you need a rest. *Hugs*
i’ve always loved that about fall…the crisp air and the piles of crunchy leaves always remind me of walking to school. i miss that feeling of renewal, but you’re right, this time of year always brings back those same old feelings.
i’m sure this time of year is always very inspiring musically…especially due to the change of season. i love the phases in between seasons.
can’t wait to hear more new stuff,
~amy xox
Glad you’re enjoying your days off David!! God knows you certainly deserve sometime to clear your head and rest!!!
… and i know what you mean about this time of year, ..and it bringing old feelings back. i just can’t say turn away when i see all those school supplies!!!! aww… good ole’ note-totes! lol

Automn is my favorite season. It warm’s me even if it’s gettin colder outside. It’s enough conflicting what i’m telling now.
Well, hard for me to forget about the school. I’m working for a school. September is the end of vacation for the students and for me. Sniff. But, a nice debut. To see all that kids makes me happy.
Hey David, by the way how’s your french lessons goes?
I’m practicing my english here. Can’t wait to make you practice your french
Passe une bonne journée avec ta petite famille.
Nath. x
Hey Nath, I should be practicing my french also, my wife is Franco-Ontarian and while all her family is fully bilingual, I should try and make more of an effort me thinks. But growing up in London, Ont I never had a chance to hear French and didn’t enjoy studying it much in school, high school. We hardly got any French in elementary school when I was young, a long time ago. About 2 1/2 hour sessions a week.
Anyways, love the fall also, the leaves turning red and falling and crispness to the air. We don’t have kids but seeing the kids going back to school also is reminder of fall and the winter to come!! Hope we don’t get hit too hard.
I could put a new subject in the forum :
Who want’s to practice french with Nath. That would be nice and funny.
Tu ne penses-pas Michael?
I learn my english with my friend at school (a french school), my friends were bilingual, italian, portuguese… At the lunch time they were only speaking in english, i had no choice to listen and answer to them in english. I thanks them now.
i learned almost all my eglish with internet… !! And TV, i watch a lot TLC !! But i love english too. When im writing or reading, its okay, but its when im SPEAKING… ask AMy, im not good at all ! Its because im not use to it. I used to write or listen… But anyway.. its oaky, one day, ill be bilingual!! i hope ! So lets beggin french class Mr. Usher!!! its never late to learn !! I hope Coco going to be bilingual !

C’est une bonne idea idée Nath! Le francais c’est une langue très belle!

bonne journee quelqu’un.
j’aime David Usher beaucoup, c’est le meilleur! hehehe
haha Mousmous, i almost put this sentence, seriously
moistndamp, pronounciation is : qu = K el = L qu= K un= en ??
David, speaking about French, you better watch it or else you might get dragged up in the media as a possible Saku Koivu, if you know what I mean. lol
I could never explain the feeling of a change coming through right around the change of the season, but it was always there. Especially during the autumn. And by the sound of it from this blog, it sticks even years after finishing school.
Merci beaucoup brebichex pour le petit lesson de francais
Lately I’ve been trying to relearn french by watching the french channels whenever I’m watching tv or reading the french newspapers over @ Chapters. French was my best subject back in highschool, but I didn’t bother continuing with it. I was surprised to learn that you learned your english online, Sabrina/Angelfinfire. It’s more of a motivation to pick up on it again. Awesome idea Nath, about the french thread on the forum. Je veux practicer plus de francais maintenant LOL
MOISTNDAMP: you make a little mistake
its “bonne journée tout le monde” and not “bonne journée quelqu’un”
But you are good!
“Everyone” could be “quelqu’un” like it could be “tout le monde” its depend!
Never let down everybody!
LILLIAN JOYCE: This is awesome that you watch french tv, read in french and that you want to learn french. Me, i want SO MUCH to be bilingual: thats my dream since im 5 !
I love english and i want to speak english ! I make some mistakes, i guess you can see with my replies, but i want to speak english !
Im still young, only 15, so next summer, ill go somewhere in Canada, in an english family with a job and some activities for learn english. It will be all english. EVERYTHING
Im so excited!
And you could be sure that ill never let down David’s show, no matter where i am! haha
EVERYBODY: Im very happy to help some people, i realy like it
/ Joyeuse Halloween tout le monde

One last thing:
Happy Halloween Everybody
Trick or Treat / Doesn’t exist in french
i’m amazed about how everyone’s writing french…
maybe the next time david posts, he’ll write in french : )
heheh…
Les mots qui ne sont pas dits, sont souvent ceux qui nous touchent le plus, ceux qui blessent, qui déchirent où qui font le plus plaisirs. Je retourne dans ce silence que tu m’as commendé, aurevoir étrange oiseau.
thank you so much again, brebichex, for taking your time.
so everyone/everybody/tout le monde/quelqu’un are slightly different just like home and house, right?
you are so young! seems like david is having fans at every ranges of age.
and yea, i agree with you its really great being a bilingual. i always wish i could be a good multilingual too.
by the way, i accidentally found this phrase while i was looking for the meaning of où; bonbons ou bâton which they say means trick or treat!
i tried to figure out what brenda talked about too, but all i got was the last words; strange birds! lol
and if you got some times, brebichex, would you mind take a look at the french lesson thread on the general discussion section of the forum? seems like it started to go off the topic here now. hehehe.
merci beaucoup.
joyeuse halloween tout le monde!
haha!! No i don’t go to the forum…!

Home and House mean “Maison” in french.
Its the same thing !
Im gonna give you some little exemples with “everyone” and “everybody” , cause there is a difference !
Is EVERYONE there ? / Est-ce qu’il y a QUELQU’UN ?
EVERYONE is there / TOUT LE MONDE est là
See ??
Maybe im doing a mistake, if i do, please tell me!! haha Because you know, im not bilingual !
Everybody is not “quelqu’un” ! Its only “Tout le monde”
OH I KNOW HOW TO MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND!!!
“Tout le monde” is when you talk about many people. Two and more!
“Quelqu’un” is when you talk about only one person.
Everybody was there! / Tout le monde était là
Everyone was there / Ils étaient tous là
There are many difference!
We should continu the part of the french speaking in the forum.
David wrote here to give us some news about him and it turns to another subjet.
What was he saying again? :;
i dont want to be bad, but you are the one who begins this subject.
i guess it will be continued in the forum
Hi David you were awesome tonight on L’heure de Gloire. You did a very good job with Brigitte. Im happy that lot of french folks have seen you now. Hope its gonna be a bunch of new fans. Hope to see you soon in Montreal.
Im thinking the same thing mousmous

David was awesome on L’heure de Gloire.
DAVID: I was surprise that you were in a French tv show, but i was happy too. I dont know if you understood what they said, but it really was special.
