i just wanted to say thanks to everyone that came out to see this tour. it really was an amazing time for the band. it has changed the way we play together and that has really influenced what the next record will be like. so much of the new record was developed in soundcheck, im already booking rehearsal space in the new year to start putting it all together (for real:)

when one thing ends another begins, thats the great thing about music and the creative process, there is always something new to be excited about. ill start posting clips of the sessions here as soon as the new year is done. till then there are still a few shows. ill be on La Fureur, a french tv show this sat. and then at mont tremblant for a free show on dec. 8th

the show last night was amazing, im not sure what it is about metric but we always have such a great time playing there. moments of abandon…
in soundcheck we have been working on lots of songs, i cant wait for january to be able to really focus on them

im trying out a new feature on the site ( www.davidusher.com ) there is now a tab for TV on the top tool bar which shows high resolution video. check it out, give me your thoughts on it. ill be adding more content to it as we go.

winter has set in and it changes the mood of things. its taken my head a bit of time to adjust but im finally ready for the cold. there are only 4 shows left which, part of me is sad that its almost over and the rest is excited about getting to new songs. quebec city is wed. its alway great, must be something in the water!

well there are 5 more shows left in the tour, fast car is becoming a usual suspect in the set and soundcheck has become this great creative time as we start to arrange some of the new songs.

yesterday we worked on a song called ’story’. it always brings amazing energy to us as we work on new things. i cant wait to start adding these songs to the set, it will have to wait till after xmas.

its been so great to be here in montreal, i havent really had time to enjoy it since ive moved. just walking around and taking it in, what a amazing city!
my rented guitar has sat in the corner, untouched. these days i try not to force it. if i dont have the urge to pick it up i just dont. and then it happens so fast, its time to head out again. i cant wait to play.
