i just wanted to say thanks to everyone that came out to see this tour. it really was an amazing time for the band. it has changed the way we play together and that has really influenced what the next record will be like. so much of the new record was developed in soundcheck, im already booking rehearsal space in the new year to start putting it all together (for real:)

when one thing ends another begins, thats the great thing about music and the creative process, there is always something new to be excited about. ill start posting clips of the sessions here as soon as the new year is done. till then there are still a few shows. ill be on La Fureur, a french tv show this sat. and then at mont tremblant for a free show on dec. 8th

LOVED this tour!!! And can’t wait for the next…but more importantly, can’t wait for some new songs!!! :) Looking forward to hearing some new clips soon. Have fun with these last few shows!

Is the “la fureur” in small type some kind of subliminal message??? ;)

it has really been evident how much the band has come together throughout this last tour, especially in terms of this new creative process and the different ways you are making music. you can tell you’re all gelling perfectly and that you’re having fun to boot! thank you for making these shows such a highlight over the past few months for me…david usher live is the best way to escape everyday life! i’ve had a total blast and feel very lucky to have seen the many shows i did. good luck with everything in the new year - i’m sure the new album will astound all of us. can’t wait to hear it!

oh no, la fureur again?! that show was hilarious…i remember the last time with ‘black black heart’ and those crazy dancers!!! this should be funny…

see you in december.

For those of us in the small cities, this online interaction really made it feel like I saw most of the tour. Even though I only had the opportunity to see one show, I feel as though I got to see it all. Each show someone posted a video or pictures and I enjoyed it very much. I really look forward to the new music and more shows to come. Please don’t forget about your fans on the east coast!

Thanks for this amazing tour. You are so down to earth and so generous of yourself.

Hope you will find time to relax a bit before going back in studio.

The shows that i saw was so amasing ! Thank you very much ! <3
I hope ill be to mont tremblant .. Free tickets !! Thats a real paradise haha :D
But i have a question for you !
When you go to a French tv show, do you understand what people talk about ?
I mean, you have an “extraordinary ear” (i saw it when you were on l’Heure de Gloire), you always listen what people say, but do you understand ?
Im very happy for you, you go to some French tv show, it could practice your french !
Good luck again with your french and i hope you will have good time with the band to record your new album :)

From Dark_Angel — November 27, 2007 @ 6:28 pm

So cool! I’m very excited about the new record and how it will sound. I wish you guys much luck!

Does anyone know if we can watch La Fureur somewhere online? Or will they have clips somewhere after the show? Thank you. :)

From shannon — November 27, 2007 @ 9:24 pm

Thanks to you and the band for an amazing tour! whatever magic happened within the band was really noticable on stage, esp. near the end of the tour! I cant wait to hear what comes out of your soundcheck sessions!

Usually the end of a tour and start of recording is a bittersweet time because, while you know great stuff is coming, you also know it will be a LONG time before you hear any of it! But this time is different!!! With your online presence, the excitement continues! Who knows, we may even get some of those “twitter happenings” events along the way!! *fingers crossed*

xo, Shan

Hey David!

Ahhhhhhh! So excited that I’ll get to see you on La Fureur. I am so happy right now. I am so happy and excited. I can’t wait for the next album. So-o-o happy that I got to see you perform twice this year already. You truly make my days better. Whenever I feel down, tired or stressed, I listen to your music and I feel better. Oh, and whenever I am super happy and excited. Seriously, so pumped for your next album. I have found new fans for you. Wish you all the best. You rock! Keep up the good work. And happy holidays!

XOXOXOX

i want to thank you too for creating such special and unique works. your musics are so touching and always work as good as endorphins and your lyrics always recognize me of the truth around us and inspire me to do some better things. i really love to let my ears and my head dig deep into them.

it is always special that you do take time to talk to us here.
and as i saw in many clips from the live shows, i really admire you the way you interact to your fans. i also love that you are so entertaining by making those jokes and doing funny things. you seems so natural and really belongs to your stage.

these are only some little parts of why i love following your works and your moves. and i will always keep doing it as long as you allow me to do. :D

it is the most exciting period waiting for the new things to come. best lucks on everything, david.

and lastly, may i ask? are there any little chances left that you could come to thailand? watching the clips is such a relief but not a release. it maybe too less but you still have a strong fan base here. at least, there are a group of people im talking to who keep following your works.
and may i ask about the 3rd video?

merci beaucoup, best luck, and take care. :)

bui+ xoxo

We saw you and the band a few times David this past year and enjoyed it each time. I was in Toronto for the Grey Cup and festivities this past weekend and just thought how you would have been great doing a concert as part of the festivities. Really hoping that at next year’s Grey Cup in Montreal, even if you’re not into football the Grey Cup is a celebration of Canada and Canadiana culture, you are part of it. At the Great Big Sea/Spirt of the West concert, there was a mix of football fans dressed in their jerseys and others there who weren’t into football and the mix created a fantastic atmosphere that I haven’t experienced before. I hope this can happen in Montreal. You guys and maybe Stabilo, that would be utterly awesome. Thanks for touring, we appreciate it a lot.

From Michael — November 28, 2007 @ 9:29 am

Or you guys and Arcade Fire, I think they are from Montreal, you guys would synergize together I’m sure.

One thing that I am sad about is the fact that the tour is over, that something good has already ended. The other thing though is the fact that I never got to see the tour at all. Living in a country located halfway around the world has been the unfortunate cause of me not being to see David play live. I am hopeful though that I would be able to see one of his shows soon. Of course however, I am indeed very happy to be able to actually listen to David’s beautiful music even though it was not from a live performance. I consider myself very lucky to have found David’s music in the airwaves and of course in the internet. I am really happy for you David for the very successful tour and album. Yes, I might be sad that the tour has already ended but the thing is as David would always say in his interviews that “in every ending there is a new beginning”. Good luck on your new beginnings David! God bless you!

the tour was great. I was there at the ‘unofficial’ opener in st. catharines, and then again at the closer in markham. it was a long time to wait in between, but i’m not complaining.
i wish you every health and happiness, and I do thank you for showing me the best time of my life. surrounded by friends and family, I had a blast at each of the shows I attended.
for everything, thank-you.

From Bev S — November 29, 2007 @ 10:41 am

montreal concert tickets…

This form of airline ticket is rapidly replacing the old paper tickets. Another form of virtual queuing is where the ticket carries a time-slot…
