WOW.

From Brenda — January 7, 2008 @ 7:36 pm

This song made me cry like a baby, I have never heard a song more brilliant or dazzling than this one, never, you truly are an amazing artist (of course I new since 1991) and I bow before a man with such talent (and I’m not one to fold). This upcoming album Is bound to be at the top for a long time, September sounds great and I know you can make happen what ever you chose to make happens, that too I knew, why else would a fan transfer your autograph upon her skin for ever! Brenda

From Andrea — January 7, 2008 @ 8:35 pm

Hey David!!!! Oh my god- it is fantastic. !!! I can’t believe this is your first recording, actually I can because you are SO talented. It is wonderful. If this is any indication of what the rest of the album is like……………. I can’t wait until Sept. Thank-you for letting us all in on such an amazing process, it is a real treat. You never cease to amaze me!!! :-) xxxx Andrea

From nat — January 8, 2008 @ 12:35 am

Hey David!

Yé I love And so we run! It made me cry. I love this acoustic version. My favourite parts in the song are: “tried to freeze frame the day” (I really like how that is worded. I totally feel that way sometimes.) and the other parts of the song I like is the “and so we ruuuuun, and so we ruuuuun”. I really love this song already. I can’t wait to hear more. Keep up the good work!

XOXOX

Nat

From Lillian Joyce — January 8, 2008 @ 2:26 am

the sound of the acoustic guitar always catches my ear, this one is no exception. The one line in the song that stood out the first time i played the vid was “until we drink the oceans dry.” You’re lyrics (& music overall) hardly ever cease to tug below the surface of my routine daily facade (i hope that makes sense!)

awesome as always!

Lil

From Drew — January 8, 2008 @ 7:31 am

i cant get all the words and everything, but its seriously great! im so curious to see the progress from now to final version! i think its my best new song so far, you seem very inspired! its true it sounds like “david usher” having that typical sound of yours, lets see how far can you push it now! ;)

From Nath. — January 8, 2008 @ 8:41 am

Sabrina, je suis crampée. Je pensais que j’étais la seule à voir cela.

Ya fou pis fou…

From amy — January 8, 2008 @ 11:37 am

dear lord…sheer beauty in a song. i absolutely adore it! it’s that instant kind of adoration too, just like the first time i heard ‘everyday things.’ i love how you morphed that song into something totally different after playing it live a bunch of times, so i’m really eager to see/hear what new life this song will take on. i’d be completely happy with it remaining as is, but i know once the band all makes contributions to it it could be something even more beautiful than it already is.

From yvette66 — January 8, 2008 @ 11:43 am

Okay, now I can’t get this song out of my head! I love the lyrics “Freeze Frame the day”. I like the metaphor of “Over the bridge” going back in time…reminds me of my stay in Montreal, running back to the pier near the Saint Lawrence River so I could skate, take in the city lights and freeze frame that moment in time. Thanks David, now I have a song to remind me of that time XO Life is a series of moments. Life’s not about the amount of breaths you take, but about the moments that take your breath away.
Lovey, XO

Thanks for inspiring David,
for you: What I’ve been working on the last hour :-)

Sometimes
when the world is on your shoulder
and the mirror you can’t face
when the wind keeps getting colder
and your heartstrings find a better place
You cannot surrender
what you seek so desperately
it turns and runs away from you
we covet what we can’t replace
you see; you see

And it’s hard to find a miracle, it’s true
And it’s hard to find a miracle, without you
And everything is changing constantly
the cause of all this needless suffering

And it’s hard to find a miracle it’s true
And it’s hard to see a miracle without you
No matter where we are
the blind still want to see
One time
I thought I saw a man from Galilee
and I knew better,
the impracticality;
still I believe

Sometimes
when the righteous bend around the corner
and pull you to your knees
You’re left with words unspoken
and every moment following
Our heads are bowed in desperation
for a promise, for a need
We covet what we can’t replace,
so desperately
so desperately

And it’s hard to find a miracle, it’s true
And it’s hard to see a miracle, without you
No matter where we are
the blind still need to see
One time
I thought I saw a man from Galilee
but I knew better,
the impracticality;
still I believe,
still I believe.

wow.
had to wait ’til my computer speakers decided to kick in again to actually hear it - but I did hear it, and … there are no words to describe what I’m thinking.
it will be extremely interesting to see this song change - I think it’s so wonderful already, it will be amazing to see it twist and change and grow into a fully-finished song.
THANK-YOU for sharing this. really, I’m ecstatic.
sublime song.
Thanks

hey David,
it sound very great , i like the chorus, the way your voice bring that energy in the song.
The verse, leave alot a place for some other good inctrument , that can bring the song to other level.

cant wait to ear the evolution of the song
