here is our song list and the things to do list. green is done. yellow is almost done and red is still to work on.
its looking pretty green to me…
they arrived yesterday and we went right back to work. taking a few days away from the songs is always key, i have a few tricks ive learned over the years, one is dont listen too much. giving your ears and brain a rest, just gives them a fresh perspective. there are a few songs ill resing, and try to alter the intension slightly. its 4 am and i havent been able to sleep lately, i think ill be like this till its finished. solved a big problem i was having with one of the songs, we changed the intro and all the verse guitars, i hope i still like it when i hear it this morning…
as you can tell recording is hard work. if find it funny sometimes that this is what i do for a living:)

every process is different. and maybe thats why im never tired of it. the songs take shape. the friends you’re working with drink more wine. the songs take shape.we have set up a studio in a small apartment in montreal. simple really these days, a laptop and what you hope are some really good ideas. 12 hours a day and some kind neighbours that have only call the police once when they thought someone was screaming and being attacked next door, its that flavour of record i guess. screaming and singing, sounds the same sometimes. funny to think the first song will be out in 4 months, seems like forever, but its just round the bend…

it was a really great show last night. we haven’t been on stage for about 2 months so that always puts a bit more pressure on things. how does this work again?? its such a strange sensation, i wish i could really describe to you how lucky i feel to be able to play music. some nights there is just something between us all, the band the audience. maybe i was just feeling sentimental? i just love doing it. to be able to tell those stories to you each night…thank you
im working the headphones
chris is narrating
jon is on the board
steve is focused on bass
kevin where are you?

the new site is up and we will be messing with it for the next…well forever!
i always look at the web like an evolving ecosystem that needs to change. exploring the moon with 1s and 0s.
i cant wait to play in richmond its been awhile since we have been onstage together, is it to soon to play more new songs?
many questions, few anwsers:)
