No, it’s never too soon to play more new songs! I’m not even going to the Richmond show (you lucky Richmond-ers!) but in case you’re wondering the same thing about the Toronto show during CMW…well, there’s my opinion.
I agree! Never too soon for new songs!!! And that applies to the Toronto show too!!
hey,,, sorry but you should come to Montreal too. Im jealous, you always play your new songs in NYC or toronto… Please, do a secret little show in Montreal!
xx
thats a great idea, since im now a montrealer again:)
i’m reading acoustic set at the cmw show…hmmm, must be nice : )
That could be one of those twitter “happenings” events that was mentioned a while ago! That would be the best tweet ever… unless you dont live nearby (come to think of it… I’m not sure I like my idea!)
Wouhou. i knew that you wouldn’t forget us. i was jealous too but, too shy to let you know.
Here’s a deal : Feb. : Vacouver, march : Toronto and april : Montreal.
Hi hi.
I’m joking (a bit) i know you are really busy right now but that would be great. Let me check my agenda
I think that it would be a great idea to introduce your new songs to know the vibe of it.
new songs would be such a dream come true
i’m sure most of us vancouver/richmond fans have already got ‘and so we run’ memorized
we’re dying to sing along with you for the first time
me again. a secret show why not but could it be only announce on your website? because if it’s too secret. nobody will know about it. You could do like Simple Plan, they announce their private show in Mtl, 4 days before, on their website. i notice it at 4h45 the night they were playing. i had to moove my ass to fix myself, what a thrill. I think that for this show or another time you could do it at La Tulipe. It’s a intimate place (500 places). I’ll close my mouth now.
you are such a tease.
as emily says, see how many of us know “and so we run” word for word when you unveil it onstage on friday night. you’ll either grin from ear to ear in awe or run like hell to the tour bus.
yeah come to montreal ! it would be so cool !
about teasing.
don’t forget what you promise us in Montreal last october
tu es mieux d’avoir pratiqué ton français mon homme.
ha ha ha (evil laugh)
ça s’est baveux :s
Hi David!!!! It’s never too soon for new songs!!Just like Graeme said, hopefully we won’t creep you out by knowing (and loving) your new songs already!! Hey everyone! I was just wondering if anyone knows what time approx. David will be on stage in Richmond. I’m trying to juggle my schedule to get over there from Nanaimo between my 16 month old daughter, my husbands work schedule, and of course the lovely ferries. Any info would be greatly appreciated, take care, Andrea
Dear David,
Change
When you’re on the outside looking in
and caught beneath the ice so thin
from a place not far across the scattered page
your life’s a stage
The spotlight’s shining on your face
beneath the afterglow embrace
you’re swimming in the restless thunder show
and it’s cold there in the shadow
Please release it now
you need a change
somehow
you’re frozen there in time
that’s what you’ll find
impatient and imperfect
in your body
the metamorphasis
is coming fast and steady
butterflies will never
get you down while I’m around :-)XXOO

that’s a beautiful lyric, yvette.
andrea, i believe he’s scheduled to perform at 8:30pm on friday. see you there!
I agree 100% with emily.
I am so looking forward to friday, and to sing along to “and so we run” would be amazing.
I definitely cannot wait for friday, and cant wait to be surrounded by others that will be just as excited about singing along with you as I am.
hey david
I think that a few songs can be great but not alot, because you want to keep your fans exicited when they gona a open that new cd comming in fall.
remember the woodbine show at the casino in etobicoke/toronto david? i really enjoyed hearing you guys play “the music”, “brilliant” and “spotlight on” for the first time….it will be a good show…it’s your pick - i want to be surprised when i open the cd too but excitement can happen more than once…
Just wanted to say thanks to Graeme! I look forward to all the stuff you write in the forum! Keep it coming XO David inspires me to write everyday. It seems though that I write something and then I read his blog and he has been thinking about the same things. “Thinking people are thinking still”. LOL.
Coincidentally I re-learned biary yesterday in a “refresher” class.
there is a sign behind me at my desk that says.
“there are 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who don’t”
I convinced them to play my David Usher cd’s at work today, I just had to filter some songs out from the little songs alblum. So today is a good day!
hey this message is for yvette,
thats some goods lyrics you got there !!
i’m in the music my self, i do pretty much everything ecxept i have more difficulty with lyrics.
do you play music your self?
chow
David Usher in Richmond–Welcome to my current hometown. Tomorrow is the day. Hope your enjoying yourself. I know that tomorrow will be fantastic. I attended a show at the Commodore and you guys rocked.
Thank You for playing in my backyard. Hope everyone has a blast and that it won’t rain.

Hi there,
this message is for Sebastian:-) Thanks a lot!I only play a little piano and I am fervently learning guitar. So, no. I’m not a musician. I guess I got a late start but it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I am a trained figure skater/performer and so I have a wide musical and theatre background. I hear the music in my head, but I just can’t play it yet. I write poetry to keep me from going insane…lol. David is a huge inspiration x You can find me on youtube..type in yvette kirchgesner. It’s a very cheesy performance of me skating at Great America in Illinois about 20 years ago. Great summer gig though! I was very young back then..Hahaha :-)I was also afraid of falling off the stage and my “groupie” was always sitting in the front row for every performance (which freaked me out) LOL.
hey sebastian,
also check out Ice capades: behind the scenes parts 1 and 2. It was the show I traveled with for 6 years. Moist got me through all those long bus rides and plane trips my last year on tour:-)
Yvette K.
