it was a really great show last night. we haven’t been on stage for about 2 months so that always puts a bit more pressure on things. how does this work again?? its such a strange sensation, i wish i could really describe to you how lucky i feel to be able to play music. some nights there is just something between us all, the band the audience. maybe i was just feeling sentimental? i just love doing it. to be able to tell those stories to you each night…thank you

Well David,
What can I say…there you go again. I just got back from church where my little girl is having reconciliation classes. The priest is very modern and progrssive in his thinking and always gives the greatest homily’s:-) Today he was talking about the stories that we tell and how important it is to stay connected through sentiment and nostalgia. Each person has a purpose in life and the ties that bind us together are the stories that we tell, the stories that we see and most important the stories that we listen to. I was wishing that I had a piece of paper so that I could capture the wonderful lyrics floating in my head, but they will probably be lost somewhere on this freezing cold day! You are most definately lucky to be able to make music and perform. Oh, how I miss the stage:-( At least I can find an outlet through writing..which is good, right? I am dumbfounded as to why your blogs always seem to coincide with what is going on at the moment on my end. Things that make you go hmmmmm! Hope you caught my poem on your facebook wall the day you flew to Richmond.
David’s in love with his music….how can we not be?
it was SUCH a magical night!
being able to watch you guys rock out with graeme and shannon and the rest of the devoted fans was such an amazing experience. There was just something in the air last night. Your music has the ablility to bring people from all over the world together and it’s such an amazing thing, we were all talking about it last night.
I still haven’t come down from the high.
thank you thank you thank you
and please come back SOON
Last night was so amazing. The atmosphere was incredible, and I really liked that the concert was outdoors, it added a special something to the whole experience. It worth the flight home, and the cold 5 hour wait. Being in the front row with the other devoted fans, and having soo many people behind me, was simply crazy and I loved it. Thank you so much for the anazing show, and thank you for signing my chemistry binder….haha, I can’t believe that was the only I had for you to sign.
I can’t wait for the new CD, and even more for your next show in vancouver.
Thank you David for an incredible night! There really was something special in the air. Getting to spend time with friends, meet incredible new friends and share the most incredible music in the world makes me feel incredibly fortunate! Thank you so much to you and the band for making that possible!
wow, that was a lot of “incredibles” for one post!! LOL! Seems to fit though
thank you for always keeping such a strong connection to your fans, david, especially during the shows. friday was quite an “incredible” night, as shannon so eloquently put it…
you truly are an unforgettable artist.

awww im jealous now. I want to hear those stories too. In Montreal !
heheh but im glad you had a blast!
dear david…
thank YOU for continuing to write new music, and for continually putting on fantastic shows for us. the show in Richmond did NOT disappoint, and only makes me crave more shows and more stories… i feel so lucky to be a fan of david usher… thank you…
You were amazing the other night. You and the band work so well together. I’ve always missed you perform in the past and kicked myself for it. It worth trekking all the way out to Richmond to see it though. All of you- keep being awesome.
David, your performance @ WinterFest on Saturday was amazing, it was the 2nd time I saw u live on stage, but I’ve been a fan since Moist.
You guys rocked and we didn’t want you to leave. I felt bad though with the cold weather and all, made me wish I’d brought extra pairs of gloves to throw up on stage.
Please come back to Vancouver again soon, we can’t get enough of you guys. I love your voice and all your songs stir up things inside our hearts that go deep and last long. I think you are absolutely brilliant and wish you guys great success. Cheers.
Hey David, thank you so much for playing in Richmond. It was my first time seeing you live, and I was right up front, where you were standing on the fence. It was definitely worth braving the rain and crowds. I’m still raving about the concert to anyone who will listen!
I’ve been a fan since Moist, and I really appreciate the thought and feeling that go into your music and your songcraft in general. If I was able to do what you do, concerts and CDs and reaching out and touching people emotionally, I know that I would be so incredibly thankful for that chance, and I’m glad that you still feel that way about the work you do. It really comes across in your concerts.
This was one of the most memorable nights of my life, what with the freezing conditions, the fake snow and the alarming opening acts. (We shall all recover from that unspeakable horror eventually.)
No seriously, thank you for making us all feel so damned special and for evoking such strong emotions with your joyous choruses and lyrics. It brought tears to my eyes when you sang LWSTD. Being right up front with the gang from back east, and Emily and other Vancouver fans made everything a vision of loveliness I will remember forever. And thank you for saving “Science” for the first encore.
David,
Thank you so much for signing my album covers!! I spent the whole day at work bragging to my co-workers. (Such a coincidence- you came through our security gate at the airport!) haha, It’s too bad you didn’t get to stay in Vancouver longer! Like I said before, You guys did an awesome job at the Winterfest Show. I can’t wait for the new album to be done!! See you at the next show! I’ll be in the front row I hope
David!!! what a spectacle u put on that nite. i’ve never seen something so inspirational, in person, ever! u connected brilliantly to the audience, it gave me the goosebumps
i absolutely luved that part ‘love will save the day’ - it blew me away! i’m still amazed that a talent like u would come out and do this for the community. how special and lucky i feel to have been there, right @ the front
p.s. my bf thought u were hot too, lol.
Watching David Usher on stage is like spending time with your best friend, watching favorite movies together…
the movies are great, and you feel like you could watch them over and over again, but the important part of watching them with your friend is to see the joy in your friend’s eyes, to hear the complacency in their soft sighs, and to share an experience that you can look back on when you’re searching for “the good” in this world
Thank you =)
