they arrived yesterday and we went right back to work. taking a few days away from the songs is always key, i have a few tricks ive learned over the years, one is dont listen too much. giving your ears and brain a rest, just gives them a fresh perspective. there are a few songs ill resing, and try to alter the intension slightly. its 4 am and i havent been able to sleep lately, i think ill be like this till its finished. solved a big problem i was having with one of the songs, we changed the intro and all the verse guitars, i hope i still like it when i hear it this morning…img_3937.jpg

I can’t imagine having my “work” occupy me to the point that i can’t sleep… living it day and night! I wish I had that! Though I can imagine a lack of sleep starting to make one a bit crazy over time, if you dont have your ways to refresh yourself!

You reminded me of sleepless nights of typing assignments or essays late at night into the wee hours of the morning. That’s the trick for almost anything that takes a lot of time to complete. The difference b/t recording music and typing an essay is that I’d gladly stay up for more than 24 hrs working on music!

Sounds like your mind is running nonstop endlessly! I wonder if that ever makes several days seem like one long day if you don’t rest until you’re satisfied with the piece you’re working on.

=)

i can’t wait to hear the new album!!! just don’t stress yourself too much cuz sometimes it’s not good for the mind and the body. if it is good stress though keep on going!! it’s nice too see the progress and how much it means to you. i like passionnate people.

it must be an intense feeling to have something that’s your own creation occupying your mind so much of the time, even when you’re taking a few days’ break from it…ahhh the life of an artist.

can’t believe you guys are almost finished! seems like just yesterday you were blogging about the guys arriving to start it.

is that you recording in a closet?!
