Finish line, here we come…

So the last stretch and its always a reach. This morning I go in and do one more vocal, seems like I’ve been saying that a lot lately:) Then Jon and Kevin are coming up on Tuesday for some final touches and that should be it. Of course thats what i always say. Dont believe it for a second, there is always more craziness before the end. The best thing about the web is it drives my creativity. It opens the door to let you try thing. Ive got so many things in my head that are coming. Im off to the studio, talk later…

David, Strange Birds, deserved to be at least nominated for a Juno. It is a great album and I think you got the shaft here to be honest. My wife and myself are a bit upset!!!!!

I agree!!! When I heard that the Junos were coming to my hometown of Calgary this year I was super excited, but then I found out that David wasn’t nominated for anything. I feel you should have been nominated for a ton of categories, especially best album. I didn’t even go to the Junos because I was pissed off that they didn’t recognize Strange Birds!!!

such is the life of a perfectionist! It must be heard to let go after living with and working on these songs for so long!

but how great is it that you can follow your inspiration and change things up and share them online even after the album has gone to print (do albums get printed?)

i can totally relate to the perfectionism…you just want everything that’s swirling around in your head to find a place without overdoing it. plus i can see how it’d be hard to let go of the songs, forsure. but i can’t wait to hear the album in its entirety!

since the process is so different nowadays (from the old “write, record, release”), it must be a nice change to have a more flexible schedule and to be able to put the finishing touches on the album in your OWN way…without unnecessary pressures from a label.

kudos on all your hard work, we are eagerly awaiting!

When going to the Forums page it refreshes the Home/Blog page then direct me to the Forums page… is it supposed to do that? or is it suppose to be a direct link to the Forums page?

Yeah, it keeps the forum with the structure of the site, with the header and navigation along the top. Are you having issues with it?

I agree with the others, David you should have been nominated at least, and taken an award, I was also very disappointed. Looking forward to new release, and upcoming concerts.

I went to your concert in Grande Prairie, AB (way back in 2002) on the same day I found out I was pregnant with my first baby. Now I have two little girls and am wondering, when will you stop back in our little, northern town..? I am desparately in need of a concert fix. Your music is brilliant. I have been a fan since Silver. Cheers.
