its early, and ive been up for hours. just taking in the light. the record is done and it always takes me a few days to recover. make that a few weeks. i think i have my breathe back now and am mounting up to start the summer touring and thinking about being on stage again. its nice to have a chance to be calm for a few minuites:)

So this is the final song of this period. Because we decided to do it last minute so i really was writing it as we recorded. I love when things just happen. I changed the song title to ‘carry on’ today.

Ok, i knew it. itunes always wants an extra track, an exclusive track so that whats happening this week. Im one of those full on  crazy mac people so im happy to do a track for them. One more song. Ive got a bit of work to do.

Im going to start the lyric today and will put them down on tuesday. Ill try to get a video of the process and post it this week. Im always open to this kind of late in the process song, sometimes the best things come from pressure. We’ll see!!

The treatments are in and Ive chosen what I think the best one will be. Im actually excited to shoot it. Sometimes videos can be a pain if you’re not excited about the concept and dont think its going to be interesting. Im liking this one alot. has the possibility of greatness…?

Im going to talk to the director today to see if he is cool with me posting some of the ideas as we go through the process. I’ll let you know this afternoon:)

Ok, now im feeling the pressure. Ive had my head in the songs, the production, the lyrics, the organizing. Allan from Maple came up to Montreal last week and we started talking about dates. I thought we were just going to have a friendly coffee:)
We went through a long list of things, all important, all coming fast. Talking about the single coming out at the end of May! Thats just around the corner. I love that life keeps moving and changing. I cant wait to play these songs, and…spring is here!!

So the last stretch and its always a reach. This morning I go in and do one more vocal, seems like I’ve been saying that a lot lately:) Then Jon and Kevin are coming up on Tuesday for some final touches and that should be it. Of course thats what i always say. Dont believe it for a second, there is always more craziness before the end. The best thing about the web is it drives my creativity. It opens the door to let you try thing. Ive got so many things in my head that are coming. Im off to the studio, talk later…

maybe its all those years of school, do 90 percent on inspiration and save the last 10 percent till you’re almost out of  (we all need desperation:) maybe i need to feel the pressure of the last days of recording to get fired up again and write the final words. we decided on a whim last week to scrap one song and breathe life into another. thats fine, but then there are those pesky lyrics that im working and reworking. jon and kevin come back up on friday to record it on saturday. so its crunch time. you know what im talking about…
